Michelle Wolf Goofs On ‘Roseanne’ Cancellation By Reminding Us Of Star’s Infamous ‘Lady Hitler Chef’ Photo

By Brent Furdyk.

Michelle Wolf is the latest comedian to wade into ABC’s shock cancellation of “Roseanne” in the wake of star Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet about an African-American political aide to President Obama, tacking the topic in the upcoming second episode of her new Netflix comedy series “The Break With Michelle Wolf”.

In a sneak peek from a new segment on the show, titled “Internet Goofs”, Wolf reminds viewers that Barr’s show-ending tweet was far from the first time the “Roseanne” star has been criticized for racial insensitivity.

“Everyone’s been saying it’s so brave of ABC to cancel their hit show, but the bold move was actually putting this lady Hitler chef back on the air in the first place,” quips Wolf, showcasing a photo from Barr’s infamous 2009 photo shoot in which she’s costumed as Adolf Hitler, baking gingerbread men in an over.

“So kudos to ABC,” adds Wolf. “It takes a lot of courage to fire someone after they’ve been openly racist for the thousandth time.”

Wolf also addresses the so-called “double standard” that Trump supporters are citing when they complain that Roseanne Barr’s show was cancelled for her actions while Samantha Bee hasn’t been fired for calling Ivanka Trump “a feckless c**t” on her show, “Full Frontal”.

“You’re right. It is a double standard,” says Wolf. “So let’s even the playing field. How about we enslave all white people for a couple hundred years and even after they’re not slaves anymore, still hold them down in society, devalue their existence by comparing them to animals, never apologize, never really make it right, and then after that there will be no more double standards and everyone will get fired for everything they say!”
