After breaking box office records over the weekend, 007’s Spectre is at it again. This time, the film was awarded a Guinness World Records title for the Largest Film Stunt Explosion, it was announced in Beijing, China on Tuesday.
The film’s producer Barbara Broccoli, along with lead actors Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux, were on hand to accept the record certificate on behalf of Special Effects and Miniature Effects Supervisor, Chris Corbould.

The winning scene was filmed on June 29, 2015 in Erfoud, Morocco and required a total of 8418 litres of fuel and 33kg of explosives.
“It is absolutely tremendous that the Guinness World Records have recognised Chris Corbould’s incredible work in Spectre in which he created the largest explosion ever in film history,” producers Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson said.
