Speculation surrounding the royal couple’s honeymoon to Ashford Castle started after members of the public were denied access to the 13th-century castle-turned-hotel. Onlookers said that there was also heightened security surrounding the castle, only to further assume that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are inside.

Previous reports said that Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, who tied the knot on May 19 at Windsor Castle, were rumoured to be staying in a 6,000 sq. ft. Outlook Cabin called “The Royal Retreat” in Fairmont Jasper Park, Alberta.

However, those rumours were quickly shut down by a spokesperson for the resort: “Though Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has a longstanding history of serving as a royal retreat, we can confirm that the couple is not currently booked for a stay.”

Harry and Meghan have shown their love of Ireland, visiting Belfast shortly before their nuptials.
