Rebecca Black may be famous for one of the worst songs of all time, but she’s out to prove she’s much more than the “Friday” music video.
Performing in front of the judges on the season premiere of “The Four”, the 20-year-old surprised everyone with an impressive cover of *NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye”.
Judge Meghan Trainor also asked Black about the experience of becoming a viral sensation at 13.
“There were so many cool things that came out of it. But it also gave me a lot of setbacks. Because there were tons of people who didn’t love it,” Black said.
Black also got the chance to challenge one of the four singers in chairs, going up against James Graham with a heartfelt rendition of Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn”. In the end, the audience still voted to eliminate Black.
After the show, Black tweeted to thank everyone for their love and support.
