The Queen underwent surgery to remove cataracts last month but she didn’t let that keep her from public duties.
According to The Telegraph, Buckingham Palace confirmed that in May the 92-year-old monarch underwent the procedure successfully.
The Queen was treated at the private King Edward VII’s hospital in London.
“I can confirm that the Queen successfully underwent a short planned procedure to treat a cataract last month,” said a Buckingham Palace spokesperson.
While she took a short time off from public duties from May 4 to May 15, the Queen was right back to work appearing in public wearing sunglasses to protect her eyesight.
