Stephen Colbert Sticks Up For Kelly Marie Tran With ‘Star Wars’ Trailer To Teach Bullying ‘Fanboys A Lesson’

Stephen Colbert is standing by “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” star Kelly Marie Tran after she was bullied off Instagram by “Star Wars” fans.

The Vietnamese-American actress, who starred as Rose Tico in the latest film, deleted all of her social media posts after enduring months of “racist” harassment for being the first woman of colour to play a lead role in the franchise.

Many stars have stood up for Tran, including Colbert, who debuted a new “Last Jedi” trailer on Friday’s edition of “The Late Show” to “piss off hateful fanboys”.

“In 2019 comes the first ‘Star Wars’ movie specifically designed to make racist, misogynist nerds mad,” the trailer begins.

It continues: “All the cool male characters like Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron all fell into a hole after Rey cut their penises off.”
