Air Date Revealed For Final Season Of ‘House Of Cards’

Production was already underway on the sixth season of “House of Cards” when star Kevin Spacey became embroiled in scandal after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct. Following an internal investigation, Netflix execs decided to fire the show’s Emmy-winning star, which left the fate of the show up in the air.

The decision was subsequently made to complete the story — sans Spacey, of course — with a final season that would focus on Robin Wright’s character, Claire Underwood. Now, Netflix has unveiled the premiere date for the new season: Friday, Nov. 2.

Back in June, Netflix unveiled some first-look photos from the set.

The upcoming season will feature the addition of Oscar nominees Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear to the cast, along with new arrival Cody Fern.

Returning for the final season are Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott, and Boris McGiver.
