Of the original “Ocean’s” trilogy cast, only Elliot Gould and Shaobo Qin, who played the acrobatic thief Yen, appear in the all-female reboot that stole the opening weekend box office.

Damon did shoot a scene along with Carl Reiner, but unfortunately, as director Gary Ross explained in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the scene had to be cut.

“There were a lot of people who were gracious to us that just for editorial and storytelling reasons didn’t make it in and some who did,” Ross said. “If you know, we ended up shooting probably another 10 days afterwards, so there’s a lot of material and a lot of shaping. But it really just comes to storytelling.”
