Bode Miller and wife Morgan are mourning the loss of their 19-month-old daughter Emeline, who tragically passed away in a swimming pool accident.

According to TMZ, the Orange County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the youngster passed away in a hospital after somehow ending up in a pool while the family were attending a neighbour’s pool party.

“It’s unclear how long she was in the water but, according to Orange County Fire, paramedics rushed to the scene and performed CPR before transporting her to a hospital. They were not able to resuscitate her,” reports TMZ, noting that Emeline was the youngest of the couple’s four children.

Miller confirmed the sad news in a heartbreaking Instagram post.

Morgan opened up about the tragic death on Tuesday, posting an Instagram photo of her deceased child and sharing a deeply personal message in the captions.

“It’s been 37 days since I’ve held my baby girl. I pray to God no other parent feels this pain. My heart is with you Nicole Hughes as we walk this journey together,” she wrote, naming another mother whose child drowned. “And thank you @scarymommy for helping us spread awareness.”
