‘The Bachelorette”s Clay Harbor Speaks On His Decision To Leave The Show

“The Bachelorette” is a show known for breaking people’s hearts, but it was a broken wrist which ended Clay Harbor’s dreams of winning Becca Kufrin’s affection.

In the latest episode of the popular reality series, which aired Monday (June 11), the NFL tight end injured his wrist during the group football date, and the irony of the situation was not lost on the professional football player.

“I got injured playing football on The Bachelorette,” he said. “That’s pretty funny.”

Despite receiving the group date rose from Kufrin, Harbor later decided to exit the show to undergo surgery and focus on his NFL career.

“I want to thank everyone for the love and support! Definitely the hardest decision I’ve ever made but I believe everything happens for a reason,” Harbor tweeted on Monday night. “I am working hard to get back on the field and turn this negative into a positive.”

He also thanked “The Bachelorette” and ABC for an “amazing experience,” but said he didn’t regret his decision to pull out of the show. Harbor added that after a “tough rehab” he is ready to play some football and find a team. Harbor is currently a free agent.

Harbor wasn’t the only one to suffer an injury in last night’s episode. Suitor David Ravitz had to spend the night in ICU after falling out of his bunk bed and landing directly on his face.
