On Wednesday, director Patty Jenkins tweeted out the first official photo from the new film, revealing that Chris Pine’s character Steve Trevor is back and decked out in ’80s fashion.

Pine’s character was thought to be dead at the end of “Wonder Woman” after sacrificing himself. How he’s managed to return in the new film remains a mystery.

Gal Gadot also tweeted out an image from “Wonder Woman 1984” featuring Diana Prince standing at the window of a store displaying colour TVs (see above).

Kristen Wiig was previously announced to join the cast as the film’s villain Cheetah, along with “Game of Thrones” actor Pedro Pascal.
