Millie Bobby Brown Quits Twitter After Being Featured In Homophobic Memes

Millie Bobby Brown has apparently deleted her Twitter account after being the subject of a series of vile, homophobic memes.

The 14-year-old “Stranger Things” star’s Twitter account vanished on Wednesday after the memes — which originally started popping up late last year — resurfaced during Pride Month in June.

The memes feature photos of a smiling Brown accompanied by nasty anti-gay slogans that depict her as a homophobe, typically accompanied by the hashtag #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown.

Brown is a staunch anti-bullying advocate, launching a secondary Twitter account, @Milliestopshate (which is still active), to prevent bullying. She is also a vocal supporter of LGBTQ rights, even wearing a LGBT pin while attending the 2017 MTV Awards in 2017.

While Brown’s fans will miss her presence on the social media platform, they demonstrated their support of her decision while blasting the perpetrators behind the memes.
