Happy belated birthday, Chris Evans!
The “Captain America” star turned 37 on Wednesday (June 13) and was flooded with well wishes from fans, family, and fellow celebrity friends.
Firstly, Evans brother, Scott, took to Instagram to share a collage of childhood photos, which featured the two siblings playing at the beach, passed out in their bed, and wearing their Sunday best.
Not to be outdone, “Baby Driver” director Edgar Wright wished “The Avengers” star a happy birthday with his own set of photos.
Wright tweeted a selection of spoof movie posters from “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” all of which featured Evans, who had a small role in the comic book film.
Evans responded to the tweet, stating that “Action Doctor” is begging for a sequel.
The popular movie star also received birthday greetings from fellow actors, including his “Avengers” co-star Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Seth Rogen. The Rock and Rogen were quick to jump on Evans’ age.
Meanwhile, the birthday boy was expecting a little more from his “Gifted” co-star Octavia Spencer. “Would an exclamation point have killed you?” he joked, referring to Spencer’s simple and to-the-point “happy birthday”.
Spencer later responded to Evans, telling him she was going to send her emojis via letter.
Thankfully, Evans was willing to let her off the hook, stating that turning 37 had made him more “magnanimous.”
