Alicia Silverstone gave a treat to “Clueless” fans on Thursday night when she broke out her iconic Cher Horowitz outfit for a performance on “Lip Sync Battle”.
The 41-year-old actress donned the classic yellow plaid ensemble as she mouthed along to Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and re-enacted sequences from the song’s music video, which itself was an homage to the popular ’90s rom-com.
Silverstone, whose conceited, rich-kid character became a beloved fan favourite, was joined on stage by backup dancers, also dressed head to toe in “Clueless” gear.
“Lip Sync Battle” co-host Chrissy Teigen was just one of the many people who was thrilled by the performance. “A modern-day Cher! This is amazing,” she said. “I had no idea how much I needed to see that.”
Silverstone went head to head with her “American Woman” co-star Mena Suvari, who dressed as the Queen of Hearts for an “Alice In Wonderland”-inspired performance of Deee-Lite’s “Groove Is In The Heart”.

In an interview with People before the episode aired, Silverstone said, “Iggy Azalea did it in ‘Fancy’, her whole video is of ‘Clueless’. So I was doing that. It was really fun.”
“I was having a panic attack, it’s live! It was a full routine, we did full choreography.”
