Christina Aguilera was in a nostalgic mood when she visited MTV’s “TRL”, the revamped version of the iconic 1990s music talk show originally hosted by Carson Daly.
Chatting with new host Sway Calloway, Xtina was reminded of the time she participated in a star-studded “TRL” photo shoot that also included Destiny’s Child, Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Lopez, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Limp Bizkit, Tyrese Gibson, N’Sync, Goo Goo Dolls and Britney Spears, with footage taken from the shoot running in the background.
“We need to do another one of those. When are we gonna have that?” Aguilera, 37, told Calloway.
As she explained, “But now there would be like new people to add. And some no longer,” she added with a cackle.
If “TRL” were to recreate that 2000 photo shoot 18 years later, asked Calloway, who would she be excited to see?
“I can’t lie. It’s always good to see Britney. It’s always good to see her,” she answered.
“I’d love that,” added Aguilera, addressing Spears directly. “I’d love to see you girl.”
In another part of the interview, the former “Voice” coach sends a shout-out to Demi Lovato, her collaborator on the recent single “Fall in Line”, marvelling at her amazing voice.
In addition, she also discussed how “Maria”, her collaboration with Kanye West, came together.
