The “Family Guy” creator took aim at Fox News and its parent company Fox Broadcasting Company, the latter of which has aired MacFarlane’s various shows, including the aforementioned “Family Guy”, “American Dad!” and “The Cleveland Show”.

MacFarlane, 44, shared his feelings after Fox News host Tucker Carlson told his viewers to ignore information broadcast by competing major news networks, according to The Hill

“If you’re looking to understand what’s actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they’re telling you on the big news stations,” said Carlson.

“Family Guy” has aired on Fox since 1999. The show was renewed for a seventeenth season, set to premiere in 2018.
