Following Charlie Sheen’s bombshell announcement this morning that he’s HIV-positive, has been living with the disease for years and paid millions in “shakedowns”; to keep his condition a secret, his ex-wife Brooke Mueller is coming forward to state that she does not have the disease.
Mueller’s rep, Steve Honig, has released a statement categorically denying that she is carrying the virus, and that neither she nor her sons with Sheen have HIV.

The couple’s relationship was a tumultuous one, with Sheen arrested in 2009 for allegedly threatening his then-wife with a knife, ultimately being placed on probation and sentenced to undergo domestic violence counselling. Both Sheen and Mueller entered rehab after their split.

The exes appear to be getting along better now that they’re divorced, however; in June, Sheen tweeted his admiration for Mueller, calling his third wife “a sexy rok star whom I adore,”; while Mueller told PEOPLE in a interview in September that she and Sheen were “getting along fantastically.”;
