Rachel Maddow could not keep her composure while reading the news on Tuesday’s episode of “The Rachel Maddow Show”.
The television host and political commentator, 44, was taken aback by a breaking news bulleting from the Associated Press. The news involved the Trump administration’s policy of forcibly separating babies from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border.

“This is incredible, Trump administration officials have been sending babies and other young children…” Maddow said before choking up. “To at least three… three ‘tender age’ shelters,” she continued, struggling to maintain her composure.
Ultimately, Maddow cut the segment telling viewers, “I think I’m going to have to hand this off. Sorry, that does it for us tonight. We’ll see you tomorrow.”

Maddow later took to Twitter, apologizing for losing her cool: “If nothing else, it is my job to actually be able to speak while I’m on TV.”
