Martin Short and Steve Martin love to party.
The two friends and comedians appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday night but it turned out they hadn’t always been so friendly with Kimmel.

The host explained that at the Mark Twain Prize ceremony honouring David Letterman in 2017 he decided to throw a party afterward in the hopes of hanging out with Martin and Short.
“I was excited to go to that party,” Martin said, but when he was in the car with Kimmel on the way to the party, he got a call from Short who told him, on speakerphone, that the party was loud and “the worst place to be.”
Kimmel joked that Short ruined his party.
Kimmel’s parties might not be Short and Martin’s speed, but as they explained, they have another, stranger, party tradition with fellow movie star Tom Hanks: colonoscopy parties.

Every two years, the three actors get together to watch movies, play poker, and then go off to get a colonoscopy together.
“What’s shocking is with Steve, you know he’s a wealthy man. Who would think he would have only one bathroom?” Short joked. “I mean, by 10 p.m. the bathroom looks like Day 14 of a Carnival cruise.”
