The Beach Boys Top The Classical Albums Chart For The First Time Ever

The Beach Boys have conquered rock and roll, but now they can lay claim to classic music as well.

The classic surfer rock band were No. 1 on both the Billboard Classical Albums and Classical Crossover Albums charts this week thanks to the album “The Beach Boys With the Royal Philharmonic”.

The album features many of the Beach Boys’ hits remixed with new accompaniment from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

It’s not the first time the Royal Philharmonic have topped the classical charts with big name collaborations. In the past they have released albums featuring music from Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, and Roy Orbison.
