Jane Krakowski really is “Unbreakable”.
The “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” star sat down with “Today” on Monday. Krakowski, 49, sat across from singer Meghan Trainor when sharing her story about dementia.
“I’m here in addition to the amazing news that Jonah Jenkins made earlier on the ‘Today’ show with AARP [formerly American Association of Retired Persons] that they are making a $60 million investment into further research,” the actress said regarding the brain diseases.
The Emmy-nominee and Tony Award-winner shared the story of her father, who suffered long-term dementia before his passing.
“I lost my father to dementia and he had almost a 10 year battle with it because he was diagnosed with earlier onset dementia,” she revealed. “I’m hoping today that I can talk about my experience that will hopefully help other people feel that are going through the same thing and maybe relieve them a little of the heartache that it is to watch a family member suffer from this disease.”
