Drake confirmed Scorpion is set to be a double album Thursday as he took to Instagram to share the tracklist for the eagerly anticipated LP.
The Canadian rapper posted:
Drake’s post comes after Mal of the Joe Budden podcast spoke about the upcoming release on his show.
Mal was asked, “Do we know that it is a double album?” to which he replied: “Yes. It’s a double album. It’s a double album. It’s an R&B and a rap album.”
Drake recently shared a short teaser trailer ahead of Friday’s big release.
The moody clip, which was posted on Instagram, featured the “One Dance” hitmaker in his beachfront home, driving his car, and recording in the studio.
Berlin electronic trio Moderat provided the ominous backing music for the trailer, using their 2013 song “The Mark (Interlude),” which featured on the soundtrack to Alex Garland’s sci-fi horror movie “Annihilation”.
