The brand new trailer for “Beautiful Boy” has been unveiled ahead of the October 12 release date.
The likes of Timothee Chalamet and Steve Carell star in the much-talked about flick, which tells the tale of a family coping with addiction.
Carell, who plays David Sheff, Chalamet’s dad, in the film, tells his son Nic while the pair go for lunch at a diner: “You think that you have this under control…”
David adds of Nic, who is battling an addiction to methamphetamine: “There are moments that I look at him, this kid that I raised who I thought that I knew inside and out, and I wonder who he is.”

Chalamet’s character can then be heard saying: “This isn’t like cancer, this is my choice, I put myself here.
“I need to find a way to fill this black hole in me,” he continues.
The synopsis for the upcoming flick reads, “Based on the best-selling pair of memoirs from father and son David and Nic Sheff, ‘Beautiful Boy’ chronicles the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival, relapse, and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years.”
“Beautiful Boy” hits theatres October 12.
