Jared Fogle appeared in court today for sentencing after pleading guilty to charges of possessing child pornography and crossing state lines with the intent of having sex with minors, and will spend the next 15 years in the slammer.
Judge Tanya Walton Pratt announced the sentence for the former Subway pitchman in federal court in Indianapolis, reports The Indianapolis Star.

Prior to sentencing, disgraced ex-Subway pitchman’s legal defense team incredulously blamed his diet for his deviant criminal behaviour.
“Once he lost weight, it seemed as though in a short time he had hyper-sexuality,” forensic psychiatrist John Bradford testified for the defense at Fogle’s sentencing Thursday morning in Indianapolis, reports The New York Post. “There are brain disorders that can be associated with sexual drive.”

Don’t expect to see Fogle back on the street anytime soon; prisoners in federal pens must serve 85 per cent of their sentences.
