Rachel Bilson is opening up about what it’s like to co-parent with an ex.
“The O.C.” alum, 36, chatted with People magazine about “the work in progress” of raising her 3-year-old daughter, Briar Rose, with Hayden Christensen.

The former couple “are still kind of trying to figure it out,” says Bilson.
“We say ‘Mommy has a house’ and ‘Daddy has a house,’ but she’s pretty young to have an in-depth conversation,” she continued. “Most important for me is that Briar is okay and secure and stable. No matter what I’m dealing with or how much it hurts or how much anger there is, it’s just about her.”

Balancing work on top of parenting is also “a tricky one,” as Bilson says Briar travels with her to Vancouver to shoot her new series “Take Two”.
“I’m doing everything right now,” Bilson added. “I’m working and I have my girl and I have this cool house with the bunk beds that she really wants. I don’t really know what’s next, but I’m enjoying the moment.”
The “Star Wars” alum and Bilson split in September 2017 after 10 years of dating.
