Lana Del Rey has reached into her back catalogue and revived an old demo track which will feature in Eugene Jarecki’s new documentary on Elvis Presley.
The song, appropriately titled “Elvis,” was recorded in 2008 before Lizzy Grant became Lana Del Rey, and was uploaded to MySpace under the name Sparkler Jump Rope Queen.

On Saturday, the “Lust For Life” singer shared a snippet of the updated song on Twitter, alongside a video montage featuring old footage of The King of Rock and Roll.
“My composition ‘Elvis’ for the new film called ‘The King’ out now directed by Eugene Jarecki,” she tweeted.
In “The King,” Jarecki takes a musical road trip across America in Presley’s 1963 Rolls Royce, at the same time the 2016 presidential election is taking place.
The documentary is described as an exploration of “how a country boy lost his authenticity and became a king while his country lost her democracy and became an empire.”
