Dan Levy’s Canada Day celebrations didn’t get off to the best start on Sunday as he live-tweeted being trapped in an elevator for almost two hours.

The 34-year-old took to social media to admit his dog was “p***ed* at being stuck, with him sharing a pic of his adorable pup laying down on the floor.

Levy’s tweets included: “Also, the alarm button and the call button don’t work. I feel like that’s illegal. Also, hungry. #nowimgettingpissed #trappedinanelevator.”

He then added, “Every day not trapped in an elevator is a blessing. #stillinhere,” before he admitted that his “future husband” was not in the same situation.

However, one person pointed out:

The “Schitts Creek” star went on: “It’s Canada Day. And it’s been over an hour in the elevator. Only conclusion is that Canada hates me. Or my dog. Unclear on which one. #stilltrapped.”

The actor eventually managed to get out after 90 minutes, joking that Trudeau had come to his rescue, along with “several Mounties.”
