Chip and Joanna Gaines have put their feud with a write who criticized their parenting behind them.
In an article in USA Today, writer Daryl Austin suggested that the “Fixer Upper” stars couldn’t be putting their kids first considering how busy they are with their TV show and business empire.
Chip responded to Austin’s claims, saying that it’s possible to have “an amazing family AND a career you love.”
Austin later wrote that he regretted writing the article, and according to People he reached out personally to the Gaineses last month to apologize.
A representative for the couple told Austin that the whole thing was water under the bridge.
“I already respected them a lot, despite some concerns I addressed in that article, but now I respect them even more,” Austin said.
