Charlotte Cardin has dropped her brand new music video for her latest track “California”.

The Canadian singer-songwriter, from Montreal, shot the vid on an iPhone X, with her filming the whole thing, unsurprisingly, in California.

Cardin, 23, said of the clip: “I chose to film the music video ‘California’ while on tour, and mostly in California, as it felt rude not to.

“The song is about missing someone far away, so filming it selfie mode on iPhone X made it feel personal.

“The hours I spend on FaceTime on tour talking to my loved ones who I miss dearly, it felt accurate and honest to make a music video out of it.”

Cardin first started out as a model and she previously told Flare of why she decided to switch professions: “Modelling was never a passion. It was a hobby I did to make a few extra dollars to be able to focus on music in the first place.

“It taught me a lot and helped me become more comfortable in front of the camera and in interviews, but my main passion has always been music.”

“When I thought music was taking up more and more time, it was obvious for me to put modelling aside. It didn’t sadden me at all; it was [what] I had to do to focus on my path,” she continued.
