Amanda Seyfried Shares Heartbreaking Bullying Story: ‘I Was Made Fun Of At School’

Amanda Seyfried is opening up about her bullied past.

The “Mama Mia! Here We Go Again” actress, 32, chatted about her childhood with i-Magazine, revealing she was “made fun of at school for being pale and ugly.”

While she was attracted to the “glamour” of the entertainment industry, Seyfried found herself struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and panic attacks that she feels “become darker as I grow older.”

But she’s finding ways to cope, “I’m always listening to podcasts and audiobooks, memoirs… it’s a bit of a meditation, but it also reminds me I’m part of a greater community.”

And for her fans, Seyfried finds it best to be open about her struggles, “I don’t edit myself as much as I should. But it makes me feel better at the end of the day that I’m not being fraudulent or withholding.”
