Very rarely do fans get treated to such an epic late replacement.
Fans were understandably frustrated when DJ Khaled pulled out of his headlining set on Sunday at Wireless Festival in London, England.
But all was forgiven when Khaled’s collaborator Drake stepped onto the stage as the festival’s surprise headlining performer.
Not only were fans treated to a hype performance from the Canadian superstar, but they were among the first to ever hear live versions of songs from Drizzy’s new album “Scorpion”.
Drake, 31, performed tracks including “God’s Plan”, “I’m Upset”, “Nonstop” and “Nice For What”.
Other acts for the massive music festival included headliners J. Cole and Stormzy, as well as hip-hop powerhouses Post Malone, Migos, Belly, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Big Sean, Migos, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, French Montana, 6lack, Rae Sremmurd, Rick Ross, Lil Uzi Vert, Russ, Big Shaq, and Tim Westwood.
Following Khaled’s withdrawal, festival organizers promised they were “working on something special that won’t disappoint.”
