Michelle Wolf led a patriotic parade in salute to abortion on Sunday’s episode of “The Break”.
With a new nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court on the way and the right to an abortion potentially hanging in the balance, the comedian took time to address the subject and make the pro-choice case.
“I know some people call themselves pro-life,” Wolf said, “but pro-life is a propaganda term that isn’t real, like healthy ice-cream and healthy testicles. Get the terminology straight: first of all, these people are anti-abortion which means they’re anti-woman.”
“If these people were actually pro-life, they’d be fighting hard for health care, child care, education, gun control, and protecting the environment,” she continued. “But these anti-abortion people do not care about life, they just care about birth.”
Wolf went on to reference the old women’s movement slogan advocating “Abortion on demand.”
“And that’s exactly what it should be,” Wolf said. “As easy and safe as pushing the on demand button in the middle of your remote to order ‘Paddington 2’.”
Then she joked, “Actually, abortion might be safer because that little guy will steal your heart.”
Later in the segment, Wolf came out on stage in full patriotic marching band gear, baton and all, to take a stand in support of abortion.
