Jimmy Kimmel took a swipe at Donald Trump on Monday’s “JKL!” after the president hit out at the presenter during a rally in South Carolina back in June.
Kimmel, 50, returned from vacation this week and was quick to address the president’s claims, after he told people: “He [Kimmel] would stand outside of the sidewalk waiting for me. ‘Oh here he comes, Donald Trump.’ He opens my door.”
The POTUS even said that the whole thing took place outside Kimmel’s studio on Hollywood Boulevard, which is something that the talk show host was, once again, quick to deny. Kimmel even sent a cameraman outside to prove that there was no way someone of Trump’s status would be able to walk down the street and get in his car.
Kimmel admitted, “Even the people who like the president know he makes things up. But still, it’s weird to hear him tell a lie that specifically involves you.”
The late-night star then went on to tell viewers what “really” went on that night.
He revealed: “Donald Trump showed up one night outside our show, banging on the backstage door. It was 2007. He had a half-finished bucket of chicken under his arm. And he was screaming that he needed to use the bathroom. But unfortunately, there was someone in the bathroom.”
“I believe it was Zach Braff who was in the bathroom. So Donald took a look around, he stuffed the remainder of the chicken in his jacket, he dropped his pants, he did his business in the bucket. That’s true — that story is exactly as true as his was,” Kimmel continued.
