Marilyn Manson invited a lucky fan on stage at a concert last month, but he wasn’t happy with their choice of T-shirt.
At the Download Festival in Madrid, Manson brought a group of fans on stage, only to notice one of them was wearing a T-shirt for the band Avenged Sevenfold.
“You should take your shirt off,” Manson told the fan who was also carrying a Peruvian flag, explaining, “That’s not my band. It’s a different band. You can wear that flag instead of that shirt.”
The fan did eventually remove his shirt and cover himself in the flag, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
A Reddit user claimed Manson had been annoyed because fans of Avenged Sevenfold, who were set to perform after the shock rocker, had booed his set for the first 30 minutes.
“Almost everyone was there just because Avenged Sevenfold [were] next,” the user said.
