TV’s favourite dynamic duo is back with a hilarious promo for their new reality competition show.
Former “Parks and Recreation” co-stars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman have teamed up as the hosts of “Making It”, an art and crafts competition show that brings eight crafty people together to battle it out in a series of imaginative handmade challenges.
The judges for the six-episode series include the two actors, along with Etsy trendspotter Dayna Isom Johnson and Barneys window-dresser Simon Doonan.
Although Poehler and Offerman may not be playing their “Parks and Rec” characters, Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson, in the promo, just the fact that the two are back on-screen together will be enough to make their fans go wild.
In the spot, the stars have their own crafty-battle, filled with corny puns while sitting in deck chairs outside of a beautiful “The Great British Bake Off”-style main tent.
Both actors have made it clear that they want to get the original “Parks and Rec” cast together again in the future.
“Absolutely,” Poehler said when asked about the possible reboot while appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. “I know, I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it. I think we’d all do it someday. It would be amazing.”
As for right now, fans can catch Poehler and Offerman on “Making It” starting July 31.
