A group of transgender actors mocked Scarlett Johansson in a recently released video after the actress was cast as a trans man in the upcoming film “Rub & Tug”.

Johansson was slammed after the casting news emerged online last week. The backlash shows no sign of slowing down, as the YouTube channel for digital magazine Into asked, “What if trans men got cast in the few roles that are made for trans men?”

They then uploaded a video showing trans actors auditioning for Johansson’s previous roles, including those in “Her”, “The Avengers”, and “He’s Just Not That Into You”.

When one actor eventually got the part at the end of the clip, he explained that he was struggling to understand why he’d bagged the role, telling the camera, “cis women are actually really marginalized in Hollywood.

“I know that there are people who have lived this experience and would bring a lot of authenticity to it, and I feel a little weird taking that from them.”

The vid comes after trans actresses Trace Lysette and Jamie Clayton took to Twitter to have their say.

Lysette insisted “Hollywood is so f**ked,” as Clayton added that “actors who are trans never even get to audition.”
