Breakthrough musician Anne-Marie surprised fans with an acoustic cover of her hit song “2002”, complete with a very special guest.

“2002” co-writer and longtime friend Ed Sheeran joined the 27-year-old for a laid-back performance of her latest single.

Throughout the video, Sheeran and Anne-Marie giggle and smile while singing in perfect harmony.

In the video’s caption, the “FRIENDS” singer expressed how excited she was to finally perform their song together. “It feels good singing our song, together! Although I think he sings it better!😁,” the caption read.

“2002” appears on Anne-Marie’s debut album, “Speak Your Mind”, which was released back in April.

Anne-Marie and Sheeran, along with Steve Mac, Julia Michaels and Benjamin Levin, helped co-write infectious pop track.

The song’s credits also include a handful of fan favourite hits from the ’90s and early 2000s, as the track includes a number of lyrical interpolations. Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time,” Jay-Z’s “99 Problems,” NSync’s “Bye Bye Bye,” and Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me” are all credited in the track.
