It’s official – Chance The Rapper and Kanye West are joining forces for a brand new album.
In an interview with local news show “Windy City Live”, Chance revealed that he enlisted West to help produce his upcoming seven-track album.
The 25-year-old “No Problem” rapper also said that West will be heading up to Chicago to work on the long-awaited project.
“Working under him, working with him on his albums is crazy, but having him tell me that he wants to produce my album and come to Chicago is like… this month, we’re working in Chicago,” Chance said.
“Kanye’s my favorite rapper that I followed, you know, without knowing for a long time, and Donald Glover’s the first rapper that ever was like, you know, ‘Come on tour with me, I like your s**t that no one’s ever heard of… I want you to come out on the road with me,'” he told Rosenberg.
This isn’t the first time that these two rap powerhouses have collaborated. Over the past several years, the duo have worked on songs such as “Ultralight Beam” and “All We Got”.
Chance also revealed to Rosenberg that he’s working on a separate collaborative album with Donald Glover’s alter-ego, Childish Gambino.
“We’ve got six songs that are all fire, but I think the album is going to be more than 14 songs,” he said of their collaboration.
For Chance, these new albums with West and Childish Gambino will serve as follow-ups to his 2016 Grammy Award-winning project, “Coloring Book”.
