Donald Trump met the Queen for tea during his UK visit on Friday.
The U.S. president was seen with First Lady Melania Trump at Windsor Castle, after it was revealed earlier this week that the meeting would take place.
Her Majesty welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Trump at the dais in the Quadrangle of the Castle, before a Guard of Honour, formed of the Coldstream Guards, gave a Royal Salute as the U.S. National Anthem was played.
The POTUS recently told The Sun of meeting the royal: “She is a tremendous woman. I really look forward to meeting her. I think she represents her country so well.”
Unsurprisingly, the meeting had everybody talking on social media, with a clip of the president stopping abruptly in front of the Queen doing its rounds online.
Ricky Gervais also posted, in reference to the protests happening on Friday during the American president’s visit.
Trump’s appearance comes after activists in London flew a huge baby Trump balloon at Parliament Square Gardens.
The president admitted the big balloon got to him. “I guess when they put out blimps to make me feel unwelcome, no reason for me to go to London,” he told The Sun.
“I used to love London as a city,” he added. “I haven’t been there in a long time. But when they make you feel unwelcome, why would I stay there?”
