This is the year of Halsey, and she knows it.
At 23-years-old, the “Bad At Love” singer has accomplished more than she ever dreamed, “I’m in my 20s,” she told Marie Claire as their August cover star. “I’m evolving constantly.”
“In one year, I performed at the Nobel Peace Prize [Concert] in Oslo, donated $100,000 to Planned Parenthood, got my first Grammy nomination, showed my tits in Playboy, and did about 150 tequila shots,” Halsey added. “I did all those things, and it’s because I’m multidimensional.”

Mental illness is one thing that Halsey has lived with, but won’t let it slow her down, “I don’t manage my mental illness to keep up with my lifestyle; I manage my lifestyle to keep up with my mental illness.”
And performing helps her cope, “I release endorphins, serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine. Like, it’s literally a drug response.”

But Halsey’s success is something she’s never fathomed, “Payton [her best friend] and me used to live on f**king Hot Pockets,” she recalled. “And now we’ve eaten caviar on three continents.”
