‘The Crown’: Netflix Unveils First Pictures Of Olivia Colman As Queen Elizabeth II, Helena Bonham Carter As Princess Margaret

Fans of “The Crown” went crazy this week after Netflix unveiled the very first pictures of Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret.

Colman, 44, is set to replace Claire Foy, 34, as Her Majesty in season 3 of the hit show and social media users wasted no time in taking to Twitter to voice their opinions on the recently-released photo.

The actress can be seen drinking a cup of tea and eating a slice of marmalade on toast in the pic.

Colman is set to star in the eagerly-anticipated series alongside Tobias Menzies, who will replace Matt Smith to play Prince Philip.

After revealing Colman’s snap on Monday, Netflix then released a pic of Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret on Wednesday. The role was previously played by Vanessa Kirby.

The latest news comes after “The Crown” season 2 bagged a whopping 13 Emmy nominations when they were announced on Thursday.
