Tom Cruise has some kind of death wish.

The 56-year-old is famous for doing his own stunts, and in a new behind-the-scenes featurette for “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” we all get to see just how far he’s willing to go.

First up is a stunt in which Cruise hangs from a line attached to a helicopter and has to fall down to a bag hanging at the end; at one point it seems he falls for real, giving the crew a scare.

Cruise also learns to fly a helicopter for the film, pulling off a manoeuvre most veteran pilots wouldn’t dare try.

In another scene, the star rides a motorcycle in Paris against traffic and without wearing a helmet.

Most famously, in a rooftop foot chase, Cruise jumps from one building to another and ends up breaking his foot.

“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” is in theatres July 27.
