Dwayne Johnson tells Jamie Foxx the most important thing he can be is “nice.”
Despite facing some stressful situations in his younger years, including being evicted at the age of 14 and living in a hotel, Johnson has maintained his positive outlook on life. When he was 15, Johnson says he heard the quote: “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice”.
“I thought, ‘if I’m ever important, I’m going to be nice to people,‘” the “Skyscraper” star explains to Foxx during a recent appearance on his web series “Off Script”. “Being nice and kind is literally the easiest thing we can do. You have an opportunity to make somebody’s day.”

Foxx tweeted the clip on Tuesday, saying: “Simple and wise words. @therock you’re the greatest man… deserving of all ur success. Congrats.”
Johnson replied to the tweet, saying: “Always appreciate you brother J and thanks for chopping it up w me on your show.”
In the interview, The Rock describes some not-so-nice encounters with big stars early on in his career.

Johnson makes a special effort to make other people happy, especially when it comes to interacting with fans online.
“It’s the most important relationship I have. It’s with the people,” Johnson says, referring to his fans which include nearly 13 million Twitter followers.
“I love to make movies for the world to enjoy,” he says.
