King Combs is saluting the hip-hop king of New York.
Born Christian Combs, the son of Sean Diddy Combs released a new ’90s-inspired music video featuring Chris Brown.
“Love You Better” is heavily influenced by the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1995 hit “One More Chance” and opens with a short starring DJ Khaled.
“I have always been inspired by the iconic Bad Boy music of the ’90s, and Notorious B.I.G. has been a heavy influence in my musical career since I realized I wanted to continue the legacy of such a remarkable era in hip hop,” King Combs told Billboard when discussing the new song’s visuals.
“It is an honour to pay homage to his iconic ‘One More Chance’ music video alongside my friend and collaborator Chris Brown as we were waiting for this very moment to bring the video to light,” he continued. “‘One More Chance’ is one of my favourite videos and it’s amazing to have ‘Love You Better’ bring back the energy and essence of the video for the culture.”
The 20-year-old is quickly becoming a social media phenom, boasting more than 1.4 million Instagram followers.
