Amanda Seyfried discussed all things “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” when she appeared on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
The 32-year-old admitted things didn’t get off to a fantastic start when she first met Cher on the set, with her admitting she gave off the impression that she didn’t want to hang out with the “Believe” hitmaker.
Seyfried gushed, “She’s the funniest, most honest person I’ve ever met. I was so nervous, so intimidated that the first day I met her I was just like, I didn’t want to be in her way. I was like, ‘Hey, I play Sophie, I’m your granddaughter. So excited that you’re here. Boy, it’s gonna be fun! I gotta go, I’ll let you to it.’
“The next day we were shooting and she was like, ‘I just didn’t think you wanted to hang out with me. You were so quick to leave.'”
The “Mean Girls” favourite then had to explain to Cher that she’d misunderstood the whole thing.
Seyfried’s appearance also saw her belt out a rather different version of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”, as she took part in the “Google Translate Songs” challenge.
The new lyrics meant “Dancing Queen” became “Hula Prince”, while “Take a Chance On Me” translated into “Steal My Sad Clocks”.
The pair obviously couldn’t end things without also belting out “Mamma Mia”, which then became “My Mom Arrived”.
