Drake Is The First Musician To Clear 10 Billion Streams On Apple Music

Float like a butterfly, sting like a “Scorpion”.

Canadian hip-hop and R&B phenom Drake has made Apple Music history as the first artist to achieve 10 billion plays on the streaming service.

Those numbers were propelled by his latest project Scorpion, a behemoth 25-track double album that gave fans plenty of content to stream.

Scorpion reached many milestones, including having all 25 tracks in the top half of the Billboard 200 chart.

Meanwhile, there are a number of other talented artists making their way to the top. One such person is Cardi B, who this week cleared the 1 billion streams mark on Apple Music, joining fellow songstresses Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Adele, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj. Furthermore, Cardi hit the mark faster than any other female artist in history.
