Richie, 66, talks with E! News to confirm the two are going to be working together and it’s already planned out. However, he adds, we won’t be hearing the results of their collaboration until Adele wraps her tour.

“Her mission is [to] get her record out and go on tour, so until she finishes that cycle, that won’t happen just yet,”; says Richie. “She is committed to that.”;

Richie also makes light of rumours suggesting Adele may have stolen the inspiration to his original song saying, “what it did was it blew everything to the ceiling. The conversation came up: If you say Adele and you say Lionel or Lionel and Adele…that’s the best pairing you could have!”
