She may be a nominee but Bella Thorne is apparently no fan of the Teen Choice Awards.

The “Famous in Love” actress made that loud and clear in a series of tweets in which she derided the awards as “gross,” insisting she’ll be boycotting the annual celebration of young Hollywood this year.

Her problem with the awards, she explained, is that the competition “f**ks with kids’ heads”

Insisting the awards are “rigged” (although offering no evidence), she then tweeted that she’s #boycottingteenchoice.”

Thorne’s beef seems to be with the awards’ categories, including the likes of “Choice Female Hottie” and “Choice Twit”.

“Vote for the hottest is so gross,” she added.

Meanwhile, Thorne is nominated for three Teen Choice Awards this year, in categories that she would seemingly have no issue with, including Choice Drama Movie Actress for “Midnight Sun” and Choice TV Drama Actress for “Famous in Love”.

We’ll find out if she follows through with her boycott when this year’s Teen Choice Awards air on Sunday, Aug. 12, on Global.
