Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Jason Priestley will be heading behind the camera as director of the upcoming biopic about the late Saturday Night Live star Phil Hartman.
According to The Wrap, Veronica Mars actor Daran Norris will play Hartman, who was murdered by his wife hours before she committed suicide in May 1998.

Priestley personally knew Hartman when the late comedian hosted SNL in 1992, and they stayed friends until his tragic death.
Production is set to start summer 2016.
