Amber Rose is offering an apology after making some rather shocking comments about “Becky with the good hair” as she chatted to Heidi and Spencer Pratt Thursday on their podcast “Make Speidi Famous Again”.
Rose, 34, insisted she thinks Gwyneth Paltrow was the girl Beyonce sang about in her track “Sorry”. However, the actress’ rep has since hit back and told ET Canada the rumours are “completely absurd and 100 per cent false.”
The lyrics in the track in question suggested Jay-Z had been cheating on Beyonce and people have been trying to guess who it was ever since.
Rose shared, “Mm. I definitely think that Gwyneth Paltrow is ‘Becky with the good hair’ I really feel like she’s… I feel like she’s the one who was, like, f**king Jay-Z.”
The model continued: “They were like friends, and then, like, you don’t see Gwyneth Paltrow with Beyonce anymore. It just seems like she was the one that was f**king Jay-Z, and now Gwyneth lost her husband, but like Beyonce’s still with Jay.”
Later Thursday Rose tweeted a reply to Variety, claiming she was just joking:
Rose then offered an apology to Paltrow, insisting that the she assumed everybody would realize that she was just making a “bad joke.”
“I feel bad because that’s someone’s personal life and it was just me joking about something that I don’t know anything about at all,” she told the Daily Mail while promoting her upcoming SlutWalk.
“I never want to hurt anyone’s feelings,” she added. “Even though I don’t know them personally, it’s just not the kind of personality that I have. And for Gwyneth to be like, Why did she say that, that’s not true?’ it’s like ‘Why did I say that?’ I don’t know anything. I was just speaking as a consumer.”
She told The Sunday Times: “Dude, if I were Becky with the good hair, wouldn’t I actually have to have good hair? Look at it. It’s all weave and extensions.”
Plus, the 27-year-old said she has way too much respect for Beyonce for the cheating rumours to be true.
“Nobody can ever say anything wrong about that woman in front of me,” she said. “I get emotional just talking about it.”
